When to start?
The ideal age for braces is between 10 and 12 years. Even before the baby teeth have been exchanged. Correction of the jaw position is often started first before the teeth are straightened. For this purpose, the uncomfortable block brace is recommended for every traditional plate brace. Not only is it annoying, many children do not wear the brace enough. As a result, the jaw’s growth moment is missed and these children will require surgery later.
The process
With Invisalign, braces have become redundant. Invisalign moves the lower jaw forward step by step with a brace with built-in bite guide (wings in the aligners), so that even an overbite of more than 10 mm can be corrected. So there is no need to wait before straightening the teeth. This keeps the children motivated, no one wants to spend 3 or 4 years in braces. An average Invisalign process takes between 1 and 2 years. Are invisible braces for children reimbursed?
Children up to the age of 18 are insured for dental costs under the basic insurance, but not for orthodontics. Reimbursements are possible, depending on your additional insurance. Check your policy conditions, or ask our specialists for help.

You wear the brace for an average of 12 to 18 months, with visible improvements from 3 months onwards.
