Long live the 3D-scan

To create a treatment plan, light photos, x-rays and a 3D-scan of your teeth are taken. Based on this information as well as the specialized assessment of your teeth, our practitioners can tailor a plan for you.

With the 3D-scan, we can even immediately show you what your teeth may look like. The 3D-scan is a device that allows us to scan your teeth. By going over your teeth in a certain way with the device, we get a good picture of the position of your teeth. After a few seconds, you get to see a 3D version of your teeth on the screen. At the press of a button, the program creates a 3D version with your teeth in the ideal position. This way you already get a good idea of what results can be achieved with Invisalign.

Keep in mind that this example is made by a computer program that places your teeth in an upright position. It does not take into account the roots of your teeth, the space behind your teeth or your gums. This is why it is so important to take light and X-rays of your teeth in addition to the 3D-scan.
